Nicole Mareno, LVT

LVT (Nurse)

Nicole decided to become a Licensed Veterinary Technician out of a love of learning and a desire to help her childhood pets at home, while deepening her understanding of animals. She finds one-on-one patient care and being there for pets when they need it most to be the most rewarding and meaningful part of her role at Cladda. Nicole enjoys learning new skills from her team and collaborating on surgery cases.
She currently shares her home with an orange male cat she adopted from a shelter in March 2025 and hopes to add more pets in the near future—ideally more cats and a miniature dachshund. Nicole’s ultimate comfort foods are Indian or Bolivian cuisine, depending on whether she’s craving a spicy meal or a dish reminiscent of her childhood.
Fun fact: Before becoming an LVT, Nicole held a variety of jobs, including lifeguarding, refereeing soccer tournaments, and waitressing. Outside of work, she enjoys going to the gym, spending time with her cat and fiancé, re-watching Netflix shows, and trying new coffee shops.
